Radwan Chowdhury is an executive leader, community advocate, and public servant with over 25 years of experience delivering results across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He is running for Montgomery County Council At-Large to bring accountability, fiscal discipline, and responsible growth to Montgomery County government. As a Chief Operating Officer, Radwan has managed multi-million-dollar budgets, led organizational transformation, and delivered measurable results — including reducing service response times by 40% and increasing stakeholder satisfaction by 25%. In leadership roles at Freddie Mac, Citigroup, and Bank of America, he helped oversee financial portfolios exceeding $5.5 billion, ensuring strong compliance, risk management, and fiscal responsibility. Radwan currently serves as Chair of the East County Citizens Advisory Board, where he advises on land use, infrastructure, and development policy. He also serves on the Maryland Comptroller’s Faith Advisory Board and the Fairland–Briggs Chaney Master Plan Implementation Committee, helping guide responsible growth aligned with community needs. A longtime nonprofit leader, Radwan is the Founding Chair of the UDiON Foundation, which focuses on poverty alleviation and access to education. He has also served on multiple boards and public advisory bodies, strengthening community engagement and improving public accountability. His leadership has been recognized nationally, including the Presidential Lifetime Service Award presented by Barack Obama, along with multiple community leadership and diversity awards. As a first-generation immigrant, Radwan believes Montgomery County’s diversity is its strength. He is committed to affordability, strong schools, responsible growth, public safety, and transparent governance. Radwan Chowdhury is running to restore trust in government and deliver results that matter.
